Harlock said:I'm confused, what would the program offer? You say it would "allow people to visit all their favorite message boards in a simple program rather than having to use internet explorer." But, for me, IE (or in my case Mozilla/Firefox) is simple. So far all I can imagine is a redundant program rather than smoething that simplifies my life. So, if you could possibly expound on what exactly would be simpler than right clicking a favorites bar, popping all of my normal messageboards up in tabs and then reading and posting, please hlp me understand why this is necessary. Not trying to be a PITA here, just honestly not understanding where the ened comes from.
I also use firefox and know exactly what you mean about loading them all in tabs. Granted this program would not be for everybody, but im coding it for my personal use and wanted to see if anybody else would be interested in it. Basically the concept is all your forums would in a treeview control on the left. Allowing quicker navigation espically when you have 4-5 boards. Heres a picture of the concept.
Other features that i think would be nice would be to have ONE central place for private messages. Instead of having to check each forum, the program would list all the private messages recieved on all boards.
Like i said, i know this idea would not be for everybody but i think message boards can be navigated easier inside a program then through internet explorer because you have the ability to link them all together into one.
