I saw a 290-295 gallon wave front tank at the lfs. I really liked it, it have a real would canopy and cabinet. I thought it was reasonable priced. I think 2800.00 on sale for the tank, cabinet and canopy - no light or glass cover. It did have a wet/dry plumbing drilled though. The guy said he would recommend it for saltwater only. They had some really nice stuff there, tanks/setups costing 10k for hardware? WOW ! They had some really large fish costing several thousand dollars. my question is - the guy said the wave front is an all glass tank..... the glass thickness was at least a half inch. are those types of tanks realiable? will it eventually leak because of the size? The bulkheads in the tank were drilled in the bottom, it had covers and intake/exhaust tubes.... I saw a smaller one running the wet/dry and the water flow was a little noisy. he said you could turn down the water flow if you wanted to. This is something I would have them setup and maintain, it really is not that expensive and they give you a report every week, and normally takes less than 30 minutes. they even bring there own water and take the old water with them. kinda nice. no mess for us.
does anyone have a company service their tanks? if so how much and what do they do.
I was also thinking about a 290-295 and flushing it into the bedroom wall. how much would that weight?
thakns for your time
