I'm not sure how the snail's shell became so scarred. S/he arrived that way with normal shell already growing out from the scar. I find it neat because the other 4 of them have more perfect shells and I can't really tell them apart, but this one I can always spot because of the white stripe! I'm sure you'll enjoy your snails, they really add to the tank!

I have a betta similar to that guy in your 2G. =) as you can probably see in my avatar :P I also have a long finned danio.

The betta in your avatar is gorgeous! You must have got him from a breeder!
 
oh, they're love. complete love. <3 i have a little delta tail betta, and i swear he looks like a female! but he's the fiercest little bugger. =D

and i'm loving that green one. those smoky shades are gawgeous <3
