Weight of a 75 gallon tank...

Yep, water is a heavy sob but very few people stop and think about how much that little tank weighs...

I just had to reinforce my floor to house my 100g. I used plywood sheets and equalised the pressure to around 70lbs psf (a little over).
Use a proper stand - a little expense now compared to the expense of cleaning up 75g of water! I spilt a litre of water y'day and it took my half an hour to clean that up!

Try and get 5 or 6 adults to stand on the cabinet.
If it holds that much weight it should be o.k.
Or you could make a stand yourself out of 2x4's and plywood.
There are DIY plans for it all over the net.

Yeah good luck trying to find some adults to risk breaking a leg to test the stand

My dad and I built a stand for my 75g. I feel a lot better knowing how sturdy it is.
