Well here we go...

Gonna be putting two 8mm puller fans in the side of the stand, and drilling vent holes in the top of the ballast, so air will be getting pulled in from the top, and exhausted out the side of the stand. Forgot to mention that part

all i can say is that ballast next to the sump looks kinda scary...it's gonna get HOT and right next to your sump like that...not sure but seems like a problem. also, in case of an overflow...water on that ballast...may be just me but it would worry me constantly.

I will have two fans in the side of the stand for cooling of the ballast, and if it gets to hot I will move it, I can take it out with the sump in place. I have done a power off check, and unless someone sticks a water hose in the sump, it cant overflow. There is not enough volume from the tank to overflow, nor is there enough in the proprosed ATO to overfill the sump.

Well its been a while, but I finally got around to getting a bit more done on the tank.
I got my fans for the MH light ballast and for the light bulb, got two of them installed in the ballast to keep it cool since its going in a very tight spot in the stand.

I also decided once I found a sheet of birch paneling, and some spare 2x4's laying around, that I would skin my stand, and make it 10 inches taller. The tank will sit on 36 inches of stand now, instead of 26.

It is not close to being done, still needs trim, and stain/sealer, and a clear, but allready its much better than it was before. It will have two doors, and two 8in deep drawers in the bottom. Allready it gained about 35lbs of weight.

I also got the spare 55gallon put where its going to stay, got the RO/DI unit mounted, with room for a TDS meter, and anything else I need on my water storage tank.
