Wels Catfish

Anyone know were I can get one or ten of these monsters at. I have a large pond that is unheated that I would love to have some of this catfish.
 
How big is your pond? Hope you realize how LARGE these guys get! IMO they are not meant to be kept as pets...better left in their natural habitat....
 
You realize these guys can get 6 ft long and way over 100 lbs easily don't you? I hope you have a really, really big pond.
 
It's a half acre water tank in the middle of my father's field. so I believe it would be big enough.
 
I hope you know what you are getting into. Go to your nearest aquarium who supply food, and get a (very good customer) discount card, b/c you are going to need it!!!

I know they get huge. What I don't know Where to get them. Anyone that can point me to the right direction would be helpful thanks. :dance2:

Sorry :duh: I should learn to read! I didn't realize your pond was that big.
Where do you live?
 
North Alabama. The water should stay cool enough for the Wels. I have channel cat and bass in the pond now that I feed daily.
 
I was looking on the internet last night and i came across a few articles that state that the wels cannot be imported?!? I could be wrong so give me some more time.
 
im gona need to find someone like you in a few years... petsmart busted me a while back telling me "go ahead and buy the catfish, itl do fine in a 10g" SHEESH! they need better info, like how big these seemingly inocent 1 inch fish can get!
