Wet/dry filter overflowed, again!

If our return line-loc was 4-5 inches under the surface, one might see a significant amount of siphoned water... Mine is just under, and my cornerflow drains lower than the tip of my return.

This is the reason for the siphon break - a small hole in the elbow either at or barely under the water line will break the siphon after a minimal drop in water level, so that if your loc-line return is a few inches underwater, it doesn't have to siphon all that water out before it ingests air and breaks the siphon.

OK +1 to that! Never really thought of having my line-loc any lower... Great point!...

The top elbow above the water level??? With out a standpipe and a very full overflow chamber... Im having a hard time understanding how water is leaking through the elbow? The water level in your chamber is like half an inch?...

The picture I had taken was that of the chamber that was working properly. The other one with the problem was full of water, as I had to shut off the valve "just in case" until we get time to fix it over the weekend. I'll let you know what we find out.

Is this the elbow you were thinking leaks??? I circled it in purple!

EDIT, a stand pipe in this situation, will equalize the pressure on the cornerflow walls. Less likely to leak after a reseal of the corner...

Yup, that's the one!
