Wet Pet for 36" long tank

Thanks. I've bred cons in the past (if they're a well mated pair they make great parents), but getting rid of the young 'uns is darned near impossible. Besides, I'm getting tired of breeding fish, the resultant fry, and all that goes with it. It'll be a nice break to just have one tank with a nice wet pet for a while. Granted, I fully expect the platys in the tank to breed, but the fry won't last long with the con in the tank.

We'll have to see how long this break from breeding cichlids lasts...I made it 10 years once, but it normally only lasts a few months before I get the itch to try something unusual.

lol lymabean...everytime I see a new stocking list I want to dump mine and try another:grinyes:

Amen to that! I'm the same way. I'm liking the tank...here's the inhabitant list:

1) African Spotted Bushfish
2) Red tailed black shark
3) Clown pleco
4) 4 variatus platies
5) 2 remaining cherry barbs (not being replaced and dwindling due to age)
6) Female convict

It's my own personal biotope tank (i.e - fish I like and find in my aquarium at the same time).

I'm hoping I'll remain attached to loaches. I have to admit the sight of the Julidochromis regani in my favorite LFS made me wanting to keep them again.:headshake2:

I'm partial to Severums :headbang2:
