just share your opinion. nothing hitting.
as for Vilhelm, welcome to the board. being a foreigner myself, i understand that english may not be their best language but at least they are trying.
good job Vilhelm, spelling errors are inevitable sometimes but i hope you benefit from this forum even in the linguistic aspect.
as for the topic, yes i've seen people with unnatural colored gravel. though it's my preference to have natural look, i must point out that colored gravels look nice in small deco betta tanks.
in fact if you go around bookstores you might be able to find some nice books that show odd-ly but beautifully decorated aquariums.
LOL strangely in 1 of the deco they placed a bunch of nice baby oscars. i guess the 'decorator' didn't know that oscars look nice and cute as babies but they grow out to be big (beautiful) monsters too.
i pity those who buy that book and happen to decide to TRY to deco based on that page.
among other things, you people might wanna try plates, glasses(unbroken) or even bamboo pieces in your tank.

i like to use clay pots as they go with the natural gravel and are a good hiding place for cichlids.

oooohhh....MY tank stinks. hhmmm. interesting.
you know what? he really would think 2 of my tanks suck. one is a 10g with black and flourescent pink, blue and green mixed in with it. there's 3 plants, all plastic, that are neon green, pink and blue as well. there's a flourescent purple starfish and matching fake rock structure with another plastic plant attached to it.
another 10g has blue gravel and a fake coral decoration and 2 other plastic plants.
my 8 year old daughter picked out the decorations for the first set up and my 4 year old son picked out the 2nd.
i found his post "affensive" from the start. baraka stated it the best. if he wanted to know why people decorate their tanks the way they do, then he should use a little more thought and respect other peoples opinions and word it a little better. his broken english doesnt excuse his rudeness.
if there's something i dont like about the way somebody decorates a tank, you know what i say? nothing. because it's not my tank and it's none of my friggin' business.
