well, recently i got a new penguin biowheel for my 37 gal, and also ordered some extra filter cartridges. we ordered a 6-pack of petsmart.com. they came in a brown cardboard UPS box. inside that box was another box, the actual box, and it clearly said 6 FILTER CARTRIDGES. inside that box was a plastic bag. inside the bag was 3 filter cartridges. we payed more than double than what we got. so we called them, and they apperantly had a mix up, and that they would ship us 6 more for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9 for the price of 6! thats a pretty good deal!

im still sort of ticked at petsmart for that, but in the end it was awesome!!!

i reccomend buying as many filter cartridges as possible off petsmart.com and hoping you get a messup.:):):):):):)LOL!!!

well, i spent 2 hours trying to figure everything out before calling.

Make up or mind is it awesome or are you ticked off. I hope this is not what the world is coming to.

Buying those cartridges is the real ripoff.

I've been running the same 2 cartridges in my 350B for like 6 months now.

Just rinse them out in used tank water after each water change. Have a couple spares in case you need carbon to get medicine out of the water. Otherwise it doesn't matter if the carbon works or not.

It has never made sense to me throwing 1/2 or more of the bacterial colony out each month or so by replacing cartridges...

I never buy filter cartridge i just pull/cut off the filter material after i washed it 4-5 times and no longer useable , and

use my own material after that i just use the filter cartridge frame and hardly ever use charcoal in any my tanks

But i have ordered tons of stuff On line and kinda like it when orders get messed up . Last order i received was 36 inch T5 lights one was broke so they sent me two more to replace one :headbang2:

Yay, I am glad things worked out well! I always appreciate it when vendors compensate you for their mistakes. The frustration, and figuring out who to contact and all that is kinda a pain.

polly fill....no ordering required...4$ a bag ..1 bag lasts a loooonnng time..:thm:
