What a Week!

where did you get the msobo from?
 
cool deal. how u liking them so far aside from the male not coloring up? how big are they? its funny, i went to the atlanta aquarium this past weekend and at the african cichlid exhibit, out of all the species in there, there were many male msobo who were amazing. they outshined all the others. their colors were awesome. i hope my msobo turns out even half as nice, lol...
 
The females don't bother anyone. The bigger male (close to 4") has claimed a rock pile and is either chasing other fish away or making the smaller male(3.5") know he doesn't like him. They hold their own really well. The white top hara will push them around, which is funny because he's smaller.

I went t o feed the mutlis today and they darted for the shells like normal. But there were a couple pairs that darted into the same shell. Now I have plenty of shells for everyone, could this be some sort of pairing behavior? Or they just dart for the nearest shell? I sat and watched for a minute and the pair came out of the shell but didn't chase each other away.
 
IMO, they just dart for the nearest shell. Each multi is supposed to have its own shell. Now, in N. brevis, male and female hide in the same shell.
