What a Week!

Great looking fish blue. Makes me want to set my 20g up real soon.

Well the attempted murder continued and I decided I had done everything I could and I needed to rehome my demasoni. My tank is calmer and the fish are clearly happier without him. I feel sad because he was soooo pretty. The LFS gave me a good amount of credit for him. I'm in search of another "centerpiece fish". I looked at several fish and thought about getting a smaller demasoni or an electric blue hap (I know I know). For now I'm thinking about it. IF nothing else I can always look for a new addition at the ACA thing in July. I heard you can find ANYTHING there :)
For now there is peace and my hara has never looked better.

Maybe an Electric Blue Hap can do it as centerpiece in your tank...

I would say give the dems another chance. was the dem the same size? if so, he may have the advantage.... But, they stay smaller than most all other mbuna. So, if you have larger mbuna with the dem, you prob wont have any issues...I have red zebra, msobo, albino socolofi and they allget along just fine with the dems. my juvie msobo dont get picked on by the dems. My point is, the dems dont pay much attention to the larger guys...

So, either find a dem that is smaller than the tankmates right now, or wait till your current stock is older and get a bigger one..

Yeah he was full grown and most of my fish are around the 3" mark. He was a tiny bit bigger than the msobo I added. I think I am going to try another demasoni but I will get a smaller one so the current fish will stay bigger than him. My fish never worry about smaller new additions they just ignore fish 2" and smaller. They don't see them as a threat. Which is funny because at my LFS they always tell me to get larger/same size fish but those tend to get in fights.
If that doesn't work I will try the electric blue.

This is exactly the same kind of experience that I have had adding fishes. That's why I will always add smaller new fishes to my mbuna tank.
