What color is Flourite?

yea, my tank didt have fish in it, so i put a spare filter media in it, and let it run, then replaced the dirty one from the cloudiness, and replaced. Lasted like a day, but I have a 30 gal filter on mine.

I see. Thanks for the help, all of you. Yeah, I read about the cloudiness issues and I'm not too worried about it. The stuff I have now is pretty cloudy.

Yeah, I think I'm red-green colorblind. I haven't pinpointed which one it really is but that seems to be what it is.

How much should I be looking to pay for a bag of Flourite in stores? I've seen it online for $~18.

Petsmart and my LFS sell it at $25 a bag, online might be cheaper if the shipping is reasonable.

When I purchased mine ~3 years ago, it was cheaper to order online. However my LFS price matched for me so I got it from them.

my 15.4lb bag of flourite sand cost me $21 online. The flourite black sand that I have isn't a brown though, its closer to charcoal.

Cool. Thanks again. I think I've found the lowest price online ($15.10 but shipping is $15) and I'm going to look around at Petsmart stores to price-match it there.

good luck.... just so you know they only price match their own website but if you find one that will price match other sites great.

I'm not sure how much you need, but be aware that Petsmart said they only get two bags at a time. If you need more than 30 Lbs you'll need to either wait for them to restock or buy from multiple places.

MG: I price-matched a AC50 from another website and they did it (heh, it was 40% off of Petsmart's instore price). However, it was at a store that isn't near by so I guess I'll be testing my luck.

its been hit or miss for me. just letting you know. some people make a big deal if they wont pm other sites. i have had the same store work for me then not then work.
