what do you clean with?

Python. Makes the job a breeze. :) Sometimes you can buy them with bonus feet of tubing. I bought a 25ft Python with a bonus 10ft...perfect for the distance between my sink and tanks, and much cheaper than going up to the 50ft.

I extended the python I use in my business. I bought 75' of clear tubing and a nylon barb coupling and made a 100 footer. Some of my customers don't have water within 75 or 80 feet. I've got a seperate one I use at home.

I use a homemade 'Python' for the 55 and the good old siphon and bucket for the 10 gallon. All you guys talking about buying a Python, look into making your own. It's easy and cheap. You'll need a waterbed fill kit for the sink attachment, (if you look at it and then compare it to the Python you will see it is exactly the same except a different color) some nylon tubing in the appropriate diameter (I got some made for restaraunt use) and you'll need fittings. Get plastic compression fittings and not the metal 'screw and strap' kind of hose clamps. The only Python brand part I'd consider buying is the plastic shutoff valve if you can't find one like it in your hardware store. It's a real nice thing to have and I'm kicking myself for not putting one on mine. I think I'll be making some modifications to it soon! The nice thing about it besides the money I saved is I just saved the shorter piece of tubing that came with the gravel siphon I was already using before I got the 55 and I switch the siphon back and forth to do each tank.

Whoever it was that said they need a bucket, a 5 gallon pail is only a little over $3 at Wally World...get one, or better yet two! They are brand new so you don't have to worry about what was in them before.

Alas I cannot use my Pythion due to water pressure problems on the third floor apartment I resdie in. Bucket Brigade Ho! Trying to work up something with a pump and a vacuum with discharge to sink or toilet. Tried the HOT Magnum with Power Klean and discharge to sink but it didn't work for me.

I used to do the bucket brigade too, Red K. I'm gettin' too old for that now. Just reading your post makes my back hurt. :p:
