What do you feed your betta?

echo, you mention that bettas swim at a leisurely pace... not always so my friend. my fish sometimes do laps in their tanks at warpspeed. i know this is not from any sort of infection (i.e.: flashing) as they do not rub against anything when they do it or dart frantically and sometimes will pause mid-lap to give me a big ol flare or two. bettas have airbrakes! lol. my one male has done it since day one - he used to do figure eights around his two plastic plants before i upgraded to a big fabric one. can we say fish neurosis?

granted yes, they do not always dart around like tetras, etc, but not all bettas swim slowly.

Just to update, I wound up buying a small can of Hikari freeze-dried bloodworms -- yum! :yuck:

I gave Rocky a couple last night, and he gobbled them right up. I figure they'll be good for a once-a-week treat, which means, given the gazillions of freeze dried worms in that can, this one purchase should last forever!
