Any gardeners here? What do you plant? For some reason in the past two years ive become interested in planting some nice vines/flowers/fruits and veggies. Last year I grew 2 nice fat charleston grey watermelons, some viney things like moonflowers and morning glory (blue ones are great) and various other perennials in boxes. I also really like Hibiscous in the summer time.

Lets hear it!:thm:

This year we're going BIG! We've got a huge veggie garden going in, LOTS of flowers to include mammoth sun flowers (3/4lb of seeds per flower head) morning glories, and other random flowers that I thought were awesome looking when I was getting seeds, and corn, beans, pumpkins, tomatos, potatos, squash, gourds and a bunch of other things! I love to work in the yard, Im going camping this weekend, and theres still snow on the ground, but hey, thats why they make blankets, tents and mat's...right?

When I was littler I had my own garden.

Just things growing by my own hand, raising, and caring for them gave me a lot to enjoy.

I've upgraded to my fishtank : ]

I wouldn't really have time to garden anyways, I have school, work, practice, and a girlfriend to tend to haha.

More into indoor gardening here, living in an apartment and all, but I've got a good collection of slipper orchids under lights, and some african violets in the windowsill. Growing up, I was only allowed to dig around the north side of the house, but managed to grow a really nice shade garden with native geraniums and jack in the pulpits.

This year we will put in Garlic, Leeks, tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, japanese pole beans, carrots, onions, many many spices, and possibly potatoes.

A fun idea if you ever raise cucumbers is to find a clear bottle that has a very small opening and when the cucumber just starts to grow push it inside and let it finish growing in there. Then when its ripe pour pickle brine into the bottle and cork it off. Makes a great gift. A pickle that is larger the opening. drives people nuts!

I have a small garden that I plant every year with tomatoes, squash, peppers and zucchini. I also have some strawberry plants and blueberry bush. Whatever veggies my wife and I don't eat I feed to my Box Turtles. My plecos get some zucchini as well. I'm thinking about planting a pear and apple tree in my yard this year.

I also have quite a few house plants. I'd have more but my wife doesn't appreciate my indoor green thumb addiction.

i go with mild to semi-hot peppers!!!!!! some of the best foods come from your own garden!!!!!
