What have you 'found' in your aquarium??

I got a piece of live rock with some mini dusters on it, and the next few days, little coral polyps started popping up EVERYWHERE in my tank.

Plenty of things I had when I kept SW before. Bristle worms and crabs to name a few. I really can't remember what else as it was a long time since I kept SW.:) Luckily, no aiptasia as far as I can remember.

So far (new tank) I've got a bristle worm and a small, small feather duster as hitchhikers. Probably more in there that I just haven't met yet.

nope tho i've picked one or 2 of those guys off some zoas a long time ago in my 37g after a fw dip. this was WAY different. it was more of a daddy long legs but i don't even know if it was a spider because it didn't seem to move like a spider, more like a worm or jellyfish. maybe it was a worm? i def had a middle (body) and lots of "legs". my husband thinks it looked like a scorpion but i think he's :screwy:

monstrous things..

Do any of you get monstrous things that you need to get out of your tank? If so, how do you catch it and what do you do with it once you catch it?
My well meaning other half put a red scorfano(thing thats a type of stone fish i think) in my big tank as a nice surprise:wall: by the time i got him out he had eaten half a dozen anthias . Acted all innocent but i caught him with a pretty pink anthias tail sticking out the corner of his mouth one evening...Fraid in the end i had to resort to hook and line after trying everything else i could think of- fish traps included, late night ambushes, lights on,lights off.Nasty poisonous spines on his back that really hurt like hell for a month if you get spiked. He now lives with the octopus in the smaller tank, both are fine but equally grumpy. Reckon the octopus is entering a teenage phase. Anyone got suggestions on a less shameful way to catch unwanted guests?please?? Got to work in a deep tank (over three foot depth)with lots of live rock and branchy corals so no nets.
