What have you 'found' in your aquarium??

My family and I went to the pet store where we buy all of our saltwater fish and my 5 year old fell in love with a little green banded goby....well we decided to buy some live rock from that tank and when I got home, suprise!!! The little green banded goby was in the bag the rock was put in....they didnt put water in the bag with the rock, so I'm suprised he survived the 30 minute ride home but he did....so we got a 20.00 green banded goby for free....I guess I'm one of the lucky ones to get a actual "fish" as a hitchhiker...this was about 4 months ago, and the little fella is doing fine in our 55 gallon tank, he seems to like his new home, he swims all over. Shows how tough a little 1 inch fish can be.

Ooo, fish hitchhikers rock.

It seems like gobies are the most common fish to hitchhike. I had a similar experience. Luckily the little guy had water because he came on a coral (I think).

Lol, I have this picture of your little girl reaching into the tank and placing the goby in the bag xD Like how I once placed my favorite chips in my mom's cart (even though she told I couldn't get them) before she went to the cash register to get rung up. I did it as a joke, but she thought it was so funny and cute that she bought it for me.

yeah my kids are bad for that, so I could definately see that happening, if it was that easy to catch fish lol...she loved that little fish so much and she got him, so it worked out good, well not good for the pet store losing out on 20 bucks but good for us...hes a cute little guy and loves his frozen brine shrimp... he came out really good for a week after we got him and then he was gone for like 3 weeks, I was afraid he died, but he came out one day and has been out ever since...friendly little thing, he'll now come up to the glass, especially when she's there, it's like they have a bond, it's so cute :)

little starfish, little brittle stars, some small white crustaceans of some sort, glass anemones , 2 orange ball anemones, tubeworms/feather dusters, small purple sponges that grow here and there, macro algae (until my tang ate it), a small clam or two, and a weird looking white dome-like thing that i think is a sponge, because you can see its inlet and outlet "valves"

I bought a big piece of live rock a while back when I was first setting up my tank. One night I thought id shine a torch in there to check for any cool little critters.. to my surprise I found a baby snowflake eel's head poking out of the live rock!

I've had him for a couple of years and he's not a baby anymore :P

Wow! Thats pretty rare.

Weird critter creeping out of live rock

A couple of months ago, I was up at night watching clownfish eggs hatch, when I noticed something totally weird crawling out of a hole in the live rock. It was white, broad and had a segmented body, with "hairs" sticking out all over. I have some small bristle worms, but this didn't look anything like them. We looked it up but could not find any definite description and identification. Has anyone ever seen anything like it?
