Hey, yeah, not slamming Jay, but I thought you were going to add to the "schooling" fish so they'd be more comfortable/happier? The tetras need to be in groups of at least 6, too.

I have also heard that cory's need to be in groups of at least 3 or they go nuts! Good luck.

Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that you didn't get a 55g tank? Most people with 55g tanks don't post asking what fish they can get at a chain store for .99-1.50
Good point apart! And most people with a decent tank tend to research BEFORE buying more fish. I, myself, made a mistake of buying 1 cory, and was told the same day by fellow forum members that they need to be in a group of a least 3. So what did I do? Go back out the same day and get 2 more. They are being moved into my 55 in 2 months, so they will be alright till I get them in their. If you are going to ask for advice, and alot of experienced fish keepers are telling you the same thing, perhaps it is correct advice, and you should follow it. It just amazes me sometimes how people ask for advice and go do just about the opposite of what people suggest for them to do. Then they come back a week or two later and ask why their tank is failing. :huh:

that's why I would advise Jay against getting oto's. I suspect he just wants them to clean algae for them, and is not willing to make sure they have good water quality or good veggie foods to eat when there's not enough algae.
