Does anybody have an opinion on where to get the best live rock off the internet? What is the prettiest, cheapest, most diverse, most beneficial life?

i am a noob but i got rock from premiumaquatics a couple months ago and found it to have alot of life, and generally free from pests (bit of algae and some tiny hyrdroids, but nothing major popped up).. i got a mix kaelini, timora, and fiji but found the fiji to be generally boring compared to the other two..

Never bought live rock off the net so can't really reccomend on that front. Wade Smith liverock is usually regarded as some of the best, it's Fijian I think. I've heard good things about florida rock as well. Generally wild rock is better than aquacultured aswell from what I've read.

ya you never know what kind of live rock you will get online...i would say go to a fish store and ask them to look at different pieces. then put the pieces together and shape them as if they were in your tank until you come up with the perfect set up...it is EXPENSIVE...you should be VERY PICKY!!!

I agree --- BUT as of yet I haven't bought any ...

I will be getting 50 or more pounds soon. So I have started my search ...

What kind of price ranges are being found?

I am seeing from $4.00 to $6.99 a pound for cured Fiji rock.

I would love it if I had that option, but nno LFS around here that I have been able to find carry any live rock. Besides petco and that rock is crap. and for $9.99 for a tiny baseball sized piece . . . no.
