What is the oldest fish you have owned or currently own?

Wow. I thought my yoyo loach was getting old! He's somewhere around 10-12 years old. I'm not actually sure. I had him awhile before I had kids and my oldest is 9 now... I guess he's still a young fellow!

I have a yoyo loach that I got in 1989... so, 22 yrs? Somethin' like that.

My albino oscar is 11 years old and dying as I write this. I read that the albino fish only live about half as long, but he outlived the female I bought at about the same time by a couple of years. I had them both in a 125 gal tank with some african cichlids and they all got along just fine until about a year ago when I noticed the africans nipping at the oscar. He would lay up on his side at the top of the tank and they just kept coming after him. I figured out, pretty quickly, that he was almost blind (from old age I assume) and could no longer defend himself. I moved him into a 50 gal tank that he has to himself, and other than being lonely he seems content.

Haven't been back into freshwater that long so nothing significant a few fish I've had over a year. My snowflake moray is about 10 years old.

The oldest fish I ever had was a goldfish I won at the rooster days parade. I didn't expect him to last a week. He lasted for 3-4 years in a small 3 gallon tank(this was before I knew better) one day he just died though :(

My 4 year old female betta (Cydia - ex named her haha) that I rescued from a certain box store cup, had columnaris and survived a heater explosion. She still waits for food in the same spot in her 5gal tank.
