What is your favorite tetra? Why?

Of the ones I've kept, diamond tetras or panda tetras (Aphyocharax paraguayensis).

I really like the look of the Black Morphos though. Maybe someday.

To me it depends on the tanks size. Bigger tank==bigger tetras. I love the look of Bleeding hearts, Diamonds, and Emporers in a 100+ gal.

I love my rummynose tetras. I have 8 of them, and I wish I had many more. Unfortunately, they are really hard for me to acclimate, and many die while still in quarantine. I've had seven of my school for a couple of years now, and only added the last one a few months ago.
They are gorgeous with their bright red noses and black and white striped tails. The school very tightly, too, which is what I like the most about them.

My favorite is kind of a toss up... I really like serpae's and black skirts.

I love my rummynose tetras. Red beaks and NASCAR tails -- hard to beat. Very shy though.

That's a hard one. I love my rummynoses, but I love my ember tetras even more. I also really like cardinal tetras and Congo tetras, but I've yet to have either of those.

If I had to pick one, I'd say ember tetras, especially for smaller tanks. I love their small size and their bright orange colour, and mine always seem to school really close.

Since I just got one a week ago and think it is so cool without eyes, pink and both tropical or cold water, the Blind Cave Tetra, and I was previously mistaken its not 4" long but rather 3" long from nose to tail. Still the biggest tetra I ever saw, and the most consistent mid-level center swimming fish I have ever seen. If you want to find it its always dead center tank until feeding time.

Oh I forgot the tetra Minor toughest fish alive and gets along very well with A. Cichlids.
