Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of fish this is? I was told it was a Red Devil by the person who gave it to me, but I'm not sure. :1zhelp:

Closest I can get is a Paratheraps bifasciata, but it's way too red. Paratheraps are commonly hybridized with other species so I think you have a nice looking mutt.

Well I've changed the tank around now i have rock in my tank and my nice looking mutt LOL, seems to be very happy. I also changed all my blue gravel to sand, he loves to make mountains with it. He digs under the rock and moves the sand around. Very amusing fish.

Whatever it is, it's very pretty!

Well it's definitely some species of Vieja.

an ugly one... lol jk. Pretty coloring. How large is it? Looks about 5-6" with beautiful finnage ;)

I looke up the name paratheraps bifasciatus. And I think he is a mix, because the bifs are the only ones whom have a horizontal stripe.
