I went to the pet store and bought 2 dragon fish.

They told me to feed it flake food and it would come to the top and eat it and even if it didn't come up to the top it would eat what fell on the gravel.

They aren't eating flake food, dried bloodworms or frozen bloodworms.

I tried looking them up on the internet only to find out that the "dragon fish" isn't a dragon fish...the dragon fish on the net look like big minows....i have eel looking fish with huge heads that resemble raisins...the fins come out and fan around its head. they are kinda ugly but still cool looking. There eyes are really teeny tiny.

I any one knows what this fish is and what it eats PLEASE share it with me. I am lost and don't want the fish to die.

it could be a bisher

i might be wrong. but by the way you described it, i think it is a bisher. my brother had one. can you post a picture of it?

unfortunately i can't post a pic...

but i will look up the fish you name and at least say yes or no and narrow down the field by one..lol

thanks for responding

Sunset is talkin about a Bicher. These eat live food (feeder guppies), depending on their size.

You might have a Dragon Goby. Some people come into my store and refer to those as 'Dragon Fish.' These are brackish fish, however, but few know that - I wouldn't be surprised if the store you got them from wasn't a part of that select few.

Both (and anything else it is) will probably eat Wardley's shrimp pellets, or Hikari Cichlid staple pellets (try the mini size).

yes...it is the one in the picture...what kind of fish is it and what does it eat and how often???

thank you thank you thank you

we have a 55g freshwater tank

to date we have:

2 female bettas
1 fire red gourami
1 powder blue dwarf gourami
4 mickey mouse platys
2 rope fish
1 tire track eel
2 zebra danios
2 paradise fish
3 bala sharks
2 blue painted tetras
2 pink painted tetras
and now 2 dragon gobys

the only other tank i have is a 1 gallon fish bowl now housing a male betta...i have a small glass dish I could put him in if need be
but i know nothing about brackish waters

did we do a bad thing by buying these gobys and should i try to return them and educate this stupid LFS.

you know, the bad thing is that your LFS no doubt knows that it is a brackish fish and sold it to you anyway. but yeah, it might be best to take it back.
