Otocinclus is one genus in the Loricariidae family (under which most typical "pleco" fish fall, i.e. Plecostomus, Ancistrus, Panaque, etc), but they are generally not considered "plecos".

Wow, lots of nice Plecos to look at on 33 pages!

Back "in the day" all you ever were the commons. A few years later, Clown Plecos started showing up.
Now, what an incredible variety of species are available!

I have three Albino Ancistrus temmincki (all female)

I bought them all at the same time, so I assume they are all siblings. However 1 of the 3 is deep golden, with no spots!

The fish below I bought 4 of. Apparently, they are a cross between a Super Red Ancistrus X a Blue eyed Albino Ancistrus, (according to the breeder)
Both L144s? I only ever see two, both male. Hard to photograph, pretty shy!

Below: I won 4 of these L183 Starlight White Seam Bristlenose Ancistrus dolichopterus on auction 6 months ago. They were barely 1" long from nose to tip of tail, tiny! Good hiders, I usually only see one at a time. Hard to photograph, pretty shy!
They are now a good 2" long. Hopefully I will get a better picture soon!

Comments welcomed! (as I am bored, and don't have a life...) :)

3 x L340s, all males, in my community tank
2 x red ancistrus male adults, also in my community tank
9 x red ancistrus sub adults, 7 females and 2 males in their own tank
7 x L400s, the larger version (5" size males), 4 males 3 females in their own tank
20 - 30 L400 fry, most born just before Christmas, in a grow out tank

I only own one. A red mable bristle nose female, when I got it I think it was an inch and a half.
