I have a 110 gallon pllanted tank with 3 clown loaches and 73 cardinal tetras. I recenty bought 3 bristlenose plecos because they only grow about 5", which is great. They're great little cleaners and soon my tank will be spic and span. I don't think the loaches like them because they're taken the loaches' hiding spots in the driftwood. I think I have 2 females and 1 male (according to the size of the bristles on their noses. I mostly only see them at nigh.
I think that mine is a panaque maccus. It was sold as a dwarf pleco. This guy could probably never be lured out in the day time. He made this hiding spot. The filter was right on the sand. I flipped the pic upside down .
Anyone think this is something other than a panaque maccus?
I just got a pair of L387s. At least that's what I think they are. No one's corrected me yet, and I have a post requesting ID here and at Pleco Fanatics.
