I got my Clown Pleco :bday: , I now have a Bristlenose and a Clown.
I read somewhere that Clown Pleco's change color when they get older, they loose some stripes and go lighter or darker can't remember does anyone have a picture of a full grown one that used to look like mine?

i have two pleco's...just the usual kind, but i love them one is 3 inches, one is about 5. want to get a new more exotic looking one to add intrest to my tank, although it is already fascinating...any suggestions, and will lps order them for me?:dive:

You've got a nice assortment of plecos.

When my 720g was still running, i had opal dot plecos (best plecs EVER), commons, royals, mangos, and gold nuggets.

These plecos were vicious. I once bought a gourami for the tank, they gunned in down, brought it to the bottom and sucked it to death.

I have a Gold Nugget for about 3 months now.I just got a Snoball and the Gold nugget chases him a lot. Is this normal and can i keep them together? I have them in a 46 gallon bow community tank with lots of caves and driftwood.

it'll either kill the new fish, or learn to leave it alone. Tough to guess. If it's getting very violent, I would move one fish. If it's just chasing a bit, things will probably settle down. New fish always jostle for territories and usually eventually establish a pecking order.

i have a 7 year old common plec, who's 9.5 inches and a 3 inch bristlenose. Also bought another 3 bristlenoses to breed in my other tank a couple of weeks ago.
