Hi again! I am in the process of going to a 20 gallon tank. LOL I move up at 5 gallons at a time.
Anyhow....If you had a choice would you do a 20 tall or 20 long?
Why do you choose the one over the other? I just don't know what I will do yet. I am leaning towards the 20 long because there is more length for swim area but I don't know? Is it to 'shallow'?

Thanks for your help!

if i were you i would buy 1 tank and be done with keep going up...5 gal doesnt make that much of a differnce!!

BTW: i would go with a 20l. more stocking options!

depends on the fish i was keeping but igenerally prefer long over tall

Yep..depends on the fish you keep in it. Though I prefer 20 long, but mainly only use them for fry grow out.

some fish like to swim up and down more, while some other types of fish like to swim back and forth....

what kind of fish do you plan on stocking it with?

Nothing new to stock with, I would end up re housing the fish I have to the one tank.

I want to get rid of my 5 gallon and 10 gallon all together and just have 1 fish tank. LOL:omg: I can't really go too much bigger than a 20 since I don't have anywhere to put it so it will have one my two tanks have now. 1 gourami, 1 loach and 4 white cloud minnows. I think the white clouds would love the room but the Gourami might not feel the love. The loach he doesn't care either way anymore. lol He is just happy to be saved from a crazy ex owner. I 'was' toying with the option of getting a 30 gallon since the base measurements would only house a 6 inch difference. But I don't know if I want to deal with anything that much bigger than what I have now.

Since I have the 6 fish already in there my options either way would be limited since I don't want to get close to the limit where there could be major problems with being over stocked.

I really appreciate everyones input!
THANKS!!!
