What the GF wants

CA has ocean adjacent. They already have a huge problem w/ caulerpa species choking other, native plants out of the coastal ecosystem - they don't want more problems.
The result: if it's a noxious weed type species anywhere (gerbils & caulerpa), or if there's any potential for it to establish itself in the wild and out compete native fauna (pirhana, gerbils, caulerpa) or if it's transgenic and freaky looking (glofish), you are not allowed to have any in your home.

They're just funny that way.

Wow this is just like me and my BF, he seems to think there is no point in having plants real or fake. He knows better than to argue his point though.

Hahaha- I just read this!

So is there anything you've done with the tank yet that she doesn't approve of?

OMG Yes.. Not having the fake plants for one.. NOT allowing her to put one of those plant scenes on the back of the tank. (I just used black contact paper since mine doesn't come with that blue/black panel on the back.. Get to hide all of the cables etc.)

We are however getting her own fish. She hasn't decided yet, and I told her I had final say as it has to fit in with the rest of the planned tank.
