What the heck! This is horrible!

Hey, do what Bitsy said, take your cat in for a check up. Also, is your cat fixed? Is it taking a squat and peeing, or is it walking up to things and "spraying"? If so, it could be reinforcing his territory because of another cat in the area. I had a similar cat "problem" and posted a thread about it, and someone from AC recommended Nature's Miracle for help cleaning up the smell from my carpet. It worked great. I found it at PetSmart. Good luck with the kitty.

oh yeah, he could be spraying, forgot about that. if hes not neutered and theres an unspayed female around somewhere he might be defending his territory... im pretty sure most cats have kittens in the spring.

If he was locked in the basement it might make him even more distressed. He might pee at the entryway, for example, because he wants to get out. If you have to have to I would suggest hanging out with him/her:)

Yep vet - I'm guessing he has a lil kidney/urinary tract infection, which is very very treatable.

if its a male he might be getting blocked, mine did thid and had to have a tube inserted because of crystals he couldn't pass that hurt him he acted fine intill the time came that he was completely blocked and his bladder was huge then he would cry and growel..please don't get rid of him, its their way of telling us help me, for what ever the reason emotional or medical..

Hey guys... sorry I haven't posted all day.

He's doing fine today, but if it happens again I'm definitely taking him to the vet. For now, though, we'll just see what happens...
