Yeah, definitely check local regs first. Ambystomatids (including blue-spotteds and yellow-spotteds) are pretty but very very boring; they spend most of their time buried. Actually, that's not too far off the mark for the other species there either; they're all hiders. Duskies and two-lineds are a little more active, and the only strongly aquatic ones of the bunch.
