I have a 110G that I got for free and I was thinking about making that my pred tank, However It would involve buying:

LR
sand
skimmer
stand
filter

I could set it up but I was thinking of maybe using it as my sump for my 240G. Is there any benifit in doing so. right now I have a 55 as a sump my water params are stable and are fine. I know ill get more water volume. And I will prob use a lil more than half to make it into a refuge. So that should keep my ates WAY down.

So I guess im asking is would this be a good idea to do or should I just leave my 55 in place? (it will be kind of a pain to switch out the tanks considering my tank is stocked) anyfeed back would be appreciated

its swings and round about's scenario....

If it aint broke, dont fix...does come into play...there is certainly some good benefits from swapping to a larger sump...more water, greater refugium and the benifits that go with it...

Or, why change something that is working well if there is no real need too..

Personally, i would use it as a pred tank.....

But, thats just my opinion..

Id like to see how you plan on getting a 110 LONG back to the UK. If anyone is SERIOUSLY intreasted I could sell it to them for cheap.
