What to do with an empty 10 gallon tank?

Panther, Dune or Viper Geckos have my vote. :) A 10 is too small in my opinion for Leopard Geckos. It's hard to have a temperature gradient in a 10.

I really like geckos so I really think this is the way I will go.....What are you breeding these days VF? I checked all of my LFSs and none carry these. All carry the leopard and of course said "they would do fine in a 10G"! :headshake2: I will keep looking for them as I certainly have time while I attempt to set up their new home. :)

The only thing I have available right now are Leopard Geckos. I hope to have Crested Geckos available at the beginning of next year.

Another member (LifelessForm) on here breeds viper geckos. He's got over a dozen babies right now but they are still very tiny. I think he wants to wait another month or two before he sells any. They are eating wingless fruit flies right now.

Cool! Thanks! I will PM him. A month or more will give me time to get their habitat set up. What type of set up would you suggest?

Thanks! Those pics a great too.

Snakes are not that bad!!! ;)

But I also keep geckos, I like leopards as a good beginner gecko.

Other ways of looking are amphibians. I like Pacman frogs, they are pretty easy to find and easy to keep.

If you go with the leo, i recommending feeding it Meal worms. Most of the big name breeders use them. Heck that reminds me, i need to do an order of 1500 mealies. lol.

I have shrimp snails in my fish tanks; I am looking for something along the lines of a vivarium with toad/frog or lizard/salamander. I have been surfing the web but still not sure what would do well in a 10.....fire salamanders and FBTs look really cool. Love crested geckos but a 10 is too small for them. where's vicious fish when you need him?! LOL

i have a 20 and i want to do the exact same thing. the convicts are getting the boot! i saw a small tank here at a shop with a reddish crab, some tetras and frogs. (paludarium). if only i knew what type of crabs and frogs they were...
