Well the tank has been set up for around 2-3 weeks, added the limestone today. Fake plants for now, but as time goes, I will slowly add live plants, but depends too on what i get. So will prettty much stay the way it is.

I have no idea whatt I want to stock it with. Was planning on a puffer, now looking at Neolamprologus caudopunctatus, but not totally sure?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Remember limesttone, so harder water!

No I would say anothher week to two, it is cloudy from when I put the limestone in and stirred up a little dust from black beauty sand.

Yea I already have lighting for plants, I had this tank setup twice before as a planted tank. I will have 40 watts of CF light. But the light I hahve now is a 15 watt bulb thhat has a blue tint to itt that I like. I'm thinkinga bout latter on buying a 2x13 watt set from AH supply and put a 6500k and a 50/50 bulb, cause I really like the blue tint effect. Since I already have a hood built for it att home, thhatt would be a just paying for lights

But I'm really looking for ideas of what to put inside the tank.

It's really hard to say without knowing for sure if you intend to go with live plants with CO2(CO2 will lower the pH)...what is your target pH?...Where you thinking of going mainly african lake cichlids?..if so, then most plants are really out of the question. Java Fern would work fine, however...and don't require much light either. Also, a 10g doesnt leave you much room for most cichlids...especially africans. The dwarf puffer might be your best bet.

i say no0 fish maybe guppies and a few platies

that is crewl to have fish in such a small tank get at leasted a 25 gallon tank there like $65 australian to setup i cant stand to see fish in small tanks would u like to get locked ip in a 5m by 5 m room i bet not so dont do it to fish

Well I'm only going with what will fit in a 10 gallon and maybe in a few months I will upgrade. I'm not runninig CO2, sisnce I have limestone rock, I'm bufferin gfor high ph, i think I"m gonna go with a pair of shell dwellers.

Small fish live just fine in small tanks....I keep a 10g in my bedroom near my computer desk...it houses a few neons, a betta, and some shrimp..more than enough room for them.....people who put full grown Oscars in 30-55 gallon tanks are far worse, IMO.
