I've got a 36 gallon bowfront with all this stuff and I'm having trouble on deciding on what will work best with what I've got. Theres no substrate in there or water dish yet.. just what you see. I've been leaning towards panther geckos but have little knowledge on them. The top of the tank has just the basic fish tank light. What would I need to change/add to make this suitable for a panther gecko or something similar?

VF and lifelessform breed panther geckos, im sure they will chime in with a boatload of info :D

have you thought about amphibians like FBTs or spanish newts, or maybe a mudskipper?

for any reptile the lighting would have to change to somthing with UV

lol yes the plants are fake I forgot what they are called but I did a double take when I saw them at the pet shop

That tank has a lot of wasted space for a ground gecko. I'd go with a pair of small day geckos. Or even better yet, snatch up a pair of Lygodactylus williamsi while you still can. I almost bought a pair of these today at a reptile show. I'm still kicking myself for not buying them. Pretty soon these guys are going to be banned from being imported from Africa.

Lighting and heating source will all depend on the type of lizard you will get.

I'm leaning towards the panther gecko. The tank is very cluttered for a gecko and I did plan on removing and replacing some things. I was going to get more hiding spots and get rid of the big piece of fake wood. Is there a such thing as a screen top or am I going to have to fab something myself.

Good question. Because it's a bow front fish aquarium I don't know if they ever had a screen top in mind. You might have to make a custom one.
