What was your first coral?

well my parameters are perfect, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate are all 0/or not detectable, my calcium LVL's are remaining around 420 ppm, and i have adequate lights, my turnover rate is 20 per hour, and the tank has good water flow, i have spent the last month researching info on both corals and i think i am ready for them, i will probably get a bubble tip first, for my two clowns

Purple devil finger leather, was my first. It was really small and now its about three times bigger. thinking of fraging it and selling some.

My first was a toadstool leather.

I wouldn't plan on keeping the elegance for that long, there was a guy on RC who was asking people to send him some so he could research them a year or two ago. It was a pretty big thing since like CrownRoyal said the mortality rate has been huge. Its not just the water quatlity... they could eat something that we dont have in our tanks... alot of people have zero'd out chemistry and good alk/calcium/lighting/turnover and still dont have long sucess, I haven't seen one NOT die at an lfs.

:dive2: my first coral was green star pollip. i just started reef tank few months ago. actualy, all corals look healthy so far. i also have bubble coral, yellow pollips, grape, mushroom, feather dusters. i got everything at about the same time and everything lived after some mistakes that i've made with them.
