What's So Hard?

its all a matter of taste

A Messy, Overgrown, Planted Tank?

EEK!

The jungle look isn't necessarily overgrown and messy, In my case the 15g is my guppy and snail breeder. the bottom of the tank has very little bare substrate, and with a small piece of driftwood, the tank looks like a jungle. plants are organised but not necessarily placed as well as some might place them. As far as the snails and guppy fry are concerned, it's fabulous, and my fry survival rate thus far is really good. as the crypts get bigger, and the java moss spreads it will be quite like a rain forest below the leaves. I ike it, but I won't be entering any aquascaping contests anytime soon.
When in doubt I start trimming, just not a lot at once because I would prefer not to see certain types of algea going nuts in there.

Well My Tank Will Probably Be In Between 'Jungle' And 'Neat And Trimmed' Just Because I Dont Like To Trim. Not A Bit Of Algae In My Tank Yet... When Will It Start? I Do Plan To Add More Plants, Don't They Choke Out Algae?

You'll almost certainly have some algae. Being that it's a plant, if you're set up to grow plants, there will be a little, just hopefully not more than you can keep up to between manual cleaning and algae eating fish/shrimp/snails.

Do Catfish Eat Algae? Or Do They Just Eat The Leftover Food?

Catfish is too broad a term. I think that all algae eating fish may be catfishes, but all catfishes are not algae eaters. ;)

I think that one of the stickies talks about algae eating fish. It may be useful for you to give it a read. Carefully consider the comments about them before you consider adding them to your tank. Some (like SAE's) are noted to become ineffective when they get bigger, preferring to compete for food with the other fish (just one example).

Thanx Happychem :)

Oh, and by the way, nice avatar!
