Marineland Emperor 55-75g, 400gph....$44.99

Marineland Penguin 30-60g, 330gph....$25.99

Aqua Clear up to 100g, 300gph....$24.99

Aqua Clear p to 150g, 500gph....$35.99

TetraTec up to 100g, 500gph....$71.99

........My cousin has a 55g tank with Emperor 55-75g and a aqua clear up to 30g....and both of them together does not keep the water clear/clean....so which filter is best.....or which two should i use to combine?

I would pick the bigger marineland filter. I love them silent, and work great, :dance

I'd go with the emporer 400 or the AC 500, I might suggest that the tank would be easier with two Emp 280's, or 2 emp 300's.

More is better - I'd go for the AquaClear 500 and Emporer 400 together. You'll get adequate filtration, and you'll have the option to use different types of media to suit your needs. One filter on the left side, one on the right, and you're good to go.

While I agtree with Blinky, But I think the Ac 500 and the Emp 400 together would be a bit too much as far as current in a 60g tank. I run these two together on my 115 and the water moves pretty well. I fully agree with the two filter idea, I just think 2 emp 280's or 2 Ac 300's would be a better option or some combination thereof. I don't dislike the penguins, but the emps have proven to be a little better in the reliability department, as well as being slightly easier to work with IMO. I do run a couple of penguins, and think they are worth what I paid for them, just not as good as the AC's and the EMP's
