please explain

It's really quite simple. The forums for freshwater generally focus on warm freshwater fish, tropicals. The forums for "coldwater" focus on fish that are better adapted to freshwater at a lower temperature.

Most tropical fish require higher temps than some other fish including Goldfish, Koi, White Clouds, and some others. Both are Freshwater.

ok so the only diff is temperature?

^Yeah. Most tropical fish like a temperature of 78* F, while most coldwater fish like a temperature of 70-72 degrees. (Room temperature without a chiller)
