Whats the hardest fish/creature youve ever had to net?

mantis shrimp in my friends 75g with LOTS of live rock and hiding places... 4 hours of netting and a 12 pack later we made a bottle trap... 1 hour later we had him...never again lol
wow i totally agree mantis shrimp are one of the weirder species you can keep in a fish tank. The fact that they can break the aquarium glass is crazy.
Only had experience with Pistol Shrimp, but they are bad enough. Never want to attempt Mantis Shrimp. Stone Crab can be pretty damned hard when young also. Mainly since rather then running for it like most inverts/fish, they instead dig their legs in and wedge themselves into the rock so tightly that it is rather hard to pull them out without ripping them in half.
Yeah mantis shrimp take the prize for creepiest invert out there. But they really do have stunning colors and are really cool to watch.
For most fish, turn off lights a while and they will kind of doze off. Then flick them back on and for a few seconds they will be kind of confused. The other thing is most fish will do the same thing given same input. this makes it easy to trap them by putting one net or trap where they have fled to before from their current location.
The worst I remember were 2 small skunk loaches in a tank with UGF. They would go down the uplift tubes as soon as we approached the tank. We ended up having to tear the entire tank down, little brats!
