I'm right at 80, everyone seems pretty happy and the water feels toasty to the touch. Not hot like my hot tub (that's how I checked my thermometer) but cozy. I'm going to leave it here.

My fish are my babies
before i made my new hood(pictures soon to come) it would flux between 78-82 so i added some fans and now it has sayed at 79 which is exactly where i want it. fish live longer in colder water temps because their metabolism slows down and the hotter the water the faster it goes which means they need more food and defecate more thus fouling the water. 77 is still a bit low a lot of experts recommend about 78-80 so i hit the middle to 79 and everything stays happy and healthy.
I was keeping mine at 78.But after I`ve made some research about ideal temp on the net, I figured that it should be 80.So i keep mine 80 all the time....
Its true there metabolism is faster at higher temps but there immune system will be stronger at higher temps as well. Just my 2 bob.
