I would guess that's it's the "NATURE OF THE BEAST" that when you speak up & try to assist people with their "problems" that you will have to also be able to quantify & qualify any & every statement that you make.
Personally I, ( & I've been in the hobby since the 80's & on online sites since the mid 90's),...get/have gotten a lot of HELP from loads of people here. Heck I've been in the shadows & watching for a very long time now & just decided to change my forgotten password & post.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't look to just the same older in the hobby & experienced folks, to get the answers that I need. I'd be a darned fool not to pay attention to them & add what they say to the information that I can compile here,...but I find that experience & sage knowledge doesn't come from post counts & you don't have to be here for a long time to have amassed some information that can help someone.
To me,...if people (old timers) don't want to help like they use to, that's not a bad thing, b/c who wants advice from someone that is fatigued or needs a break from the grind of saying the same things over & again, when they don't necessarily want to ?
To me it's far better FOR ALL INVOLVED, to take what you can get & compile it, from where it's offered & CHOOSE WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT FOR YOU & when those old timers get a second wind & feel like speaking up, in the ebb & flow of advice & how it's given,....THEY WILL.
I really appreciate those of you who give advice, ( I KNOW IT'S NOT ALWAYS EASY & MANY TIMES IT'S THANKLESS),... whether I agree with it or not, b/c when it all boils down,...I have to be ready for accepting advice as well as you guys have to be ready & willing to give it & ultimately it's up to me to make the INFORMED decision.
