Which fish are most interesting / most boring to watch?

Most boring I would have to say is bettas.
The most fun to watch are cories. I have a school of bosemani rainbows that I just love to set and watch, they are very active and when thay pair off they are neat to watch them do their little dances.
Now fascinating would be my plec, he's not to shy and he is really interesting to watch especially when another fish gets around a wafer or his zucchini you throw in and he goes into protect the food mode.

I think the most interesting fish that I've kept are guppies. They are so active, small and bright but not schooling fish... Great personality.

I have to agree with those that said bettas are boring. I do like keeping them, but if they where the only fish in the tank I would get very bored.

I think my most interesting fish are Endlers. Very active swimmers, bright colors, unique markings, the males are always flirting desperately, and one of my males even changes color when he flirts.

The most boring fish have got to be dead fish.

I have no "boring" fish IMO, but I don't see enough of my Raphael cat or Tiger loach. Most interesting would have to be my Yoyos (4) and cories (20+ in 3 tanks)!

I don't find any fish boring, unless you never see them!
The fish I find the most interesting are Clown Loaches because they are so playful. They need to be in groups of at least 5 to see their true nature. Cories are quite playful too.
I find rainbows (all types) very interesting the way they "display" for each other with amazing bright colors they can turn on and off instantaneously.

My most interesting fish are my pictus cats. They are so funny when they are swimming along the bottom trying to keep all the other (and each other) fish from getting their food. And at night, I have blue moon light to see by, and they really go nuts then. I think my most boring fish are my red eye tetras. They just hang around the back of the tank and don't do much.

My cories are great, but I don't know why they're so shy. My rasboras are great schoolers but they are kinda boring. My blue emperor tetras are hilarious...believe it or not. They totally drive the rasbora school. They eat all the food, wander everywhere and even swim down and check out my cories. They crack me up. But then again....those are all the species I have. I was thinking of gouramis...which everyone has but nobody's commented on. So I'm thinking I could be right....in the fish store, the gourami's just sit there looking bored. Do they do that all the time?

You took the words right out of my mouth. Whenever I see those pretty Gouramis I think "Hmm...gotta get me some of those one day". Then I watch them for two minutes and think "Naaah". They look not only bored but perpetually nervous or unhappy.

I'm partial to catfish myself. Most of them have some kind of interesting behaviour, and because you don't always get to see them it's all the more special when you do. Guppies are also cool - a common fish but with personality, and the ease of breeding makes things fun when babies turn up in unexpected colours!

Hatcher, I love your 'bird dog' avatar!!
