Which kind of goldfish is friendliest?

In all the fish I've kept, wakins are the friendliest I've seen right out of the bag. Though any goldfish will have you trained and jumping though hoops before you know it.

The goldfish has been bred in many varieties all of them are tame none agressive

I however would have to pick the ones that are closer to their wild brethren not for looks but for the ease of keeping them

"fancy" goldfish are prone to intestinal diseases that cause dropsy, bloat, and death
If you are willing to deal with a fish that has been proven to get diseases go for it

the one i would recommend would have to be the comet goldfish (i like the long fins)

the reason why fancy goldfish are shaped so strangly is because when they were first bred they were not kept in glass tanks where the owners could see their sides, but in large bowls and ponds. So the breeders bred the goldfish to have an "appealing" shape when veiwed from above.

Hey Somervell,
Sorry to hijack this thread, but do you still have your eclipse 2 hood for sale?
I don't need the bio wheel or equipment, just the hood.
Thanks!

We have orandas, ryukins (my fav), black moor, and fantail. I think the orandas are the friendliest but they are all pretty much there to meet you at the glass :)

I have one moor who was black... Now orange. Two orlandas whom are very hardy and more athletic (if athletic can be used for fish). Two fantails that are beautiful and defo the best ascetically and one celestial who is a clumsy lump but looks good. I would suggest getting a mix as they look amazing but so very different. I hope this helps!
