which lake do you prefer?

I think if more people knew of all the fish from Victoria, there would be a lot more keepers of them. Most are harder to find with the exception of maybe the zebra obliqs and the hap 44. I myself like all 3 lakes and it is a hard choice.

My first post and although I keep fish from all three lakes, I prefer the cichlids from Lake Victoria!

I like lake tanganyika, but I must admit I am torn between Tang and Malawi for my monster tank, lol guess thast part the reason its not set up an running yet.

I had never seen zebra obliqs in person till last week end, and there are very nice, I have been thinking of pulling out the old 50 from garage an start and Victoria Tank.

OK, my opinion.

Malawi...color. The color range doesn't get much better. The broadest range of attitude.

Tanganyika...personality and oddities. A community tank is more possible with the right mix of Tangs.

Victoria...this is my baby. A lot of the species are endangered. I think that in itself is reason enough to have a colony of Victorians. But, some of the fish are absolutely gorgeous, the attitude range is from mild mbuna to fairly aggressive mbuna. Can be mixed with some mbuna and haps. Hearty fish. Breeds early.
