Which plants can be kept in a tank with silver dollars?

So I guess the verdict is out. Silver dollars and plants are a :nono:
Siggghhhhh...:(

This explains everything. Never caught them at it so I never realised who the culprits were. TBH I thought the Dollars were pretty boring anyway

i have a 75 gallon with silver dollars only plant i found they will not decimate is my java moss which i started out with a huge amount of, now i have java moss carpet the silver dollars keep trimmed

My silver dollars even stripped the leaves off of my pothos when I tried letting a few vines grow into the tank and those pothos leaves are tough

i have kept 12 full grown silver dollars and they go after everything except my onion plants. the onion plants never had any issues at all. they chewed java fern and anubias all the way down, but the onions grew and grew. its all in my 450 gallon thread. oh, and they do try to eat fake plants too. i fed them about 3 pieces of romain lettuce daily on top of regular fish food.

voraciaous vegetarians for sure, once they get to 3" they eat just about anything i throw in, including brine shrimp, worms....! (arrow leafs seem to be a favorite) - I was wondering about human-food grade water cress or sprouts - Anyone try that in addition to lettuce and zuchini?

mine ate pretty much everything and stuff they didnt eat, they would dig it up. They usually liked the leafy part of the plant and did not care for the stems.. never would i keep SDs in a tank full of plants. lesson learned.... the hard way!
