I moved my betta from a 1 gallon to my 30 gallon and about a day later I saw him on the bottom of the tank lying down. So, I moved him back to a one gallon and he was dead this morning. Sad business. Why do you think he died? The rest of the fish in the 30 gallon are as happy as ever. What's the deal?

RIP, Autesh.

What are the rest of the fish in the 30g? How long had you had the betta? What were the water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate at least) in both tanks?

I have some neons, a platty and a rainbow shark. I had had the betta for about ten months or so. I'm not sure about the parameters. I haven't checked for a little while.

a rainbow shark
?
can t he beat him ??? they will become weak and moveless and stop eatin days before they die on natural cauz , his death is suspicious and i suspect the rainbow shark ...
anyway sorry for ur loss

I too suspect the rainbow shark.

Also, did you check to see if the water parameters are the same as the 1g tank, did you acclimate the fish, or just dump him straight in?

It might just be that its conditions were too different for it to adjust too.
