Why do so many people mispell "lose"?

If you don't know how to spell it, how are you to find it in a dictionary? A thesaurus(sp?) might be better for this kind of thing.

I do have to say, that occasionally I make a spelling mistake, but the simple ones REALLY stand out to me bigtime and are rather bothersome, but I can deal. ;)

Though I could read most of that, it took me a moment to figure out that it was spelling and speller instead of sleeping and sleeper. lol.:)
