Duckweed is teh bane of my existence.

Mg has a surefire way to get rid of it.........overflow the tank!
Not a problem if it's in the garage.lol My canas ate all the duckweeds.:perv:

I have some but I have not noticed an issue with it over populating anything. If anything I think it is dying off quicker than I can figure out how to save it. I wanted it for my "hatchery" tank for my whisker shrimp but the only thing working in that tank is java moss, yay! I did read it likes still water, so maybe since I have a bit of a current that is why I cannot keep it.

Mg toss a few of my goldfish in that tank. The duckweed will be turned into strings of green poo in no time at all.

Then it breaks down into itty-bitty clear floaty things all through the tank. I feed them a handfull of duckweed the morning of my weekly water change.

whenever i would put it in any tank, it would get stuck on the filter and die. i even saw some duckweed in my lake once, and it didnt last

my philosophy is that there is a simple solution for ever problem. its even in the name, if you wanna get rid of duckweed, get some ducks :grinyes:

I manage to kill frogbit and duckweed whenever I introduce it to my aquariums... Though I can keep it alive in a bucket with bamboo...

Huh, I like the stuff. My fry/shrimp/snails/guppies/endlers love it for hiding. Though, I moved it into my my 75g after 3 hitchhiker duckweed plants turned into hundreds in less than a month in my 20g long, and after moving it into thee 75 it all got stuck to the filter, in the filter, and most died. I have so much current from my marineland C360, Tetra Whisper HOB, and powerhead that it just doesn't work as well. Wish I knew a good floater that could handle the current without taking too much care.

my angels must be weird then:dance:
