Just wanted to add that if you do have live plants in the tank then the NitrAtes can be as high as 40 without hurting the fish. If you don't have live plants then were you are at is a very good level. You will never be able to get 0 NitrAte in a tank unless you are cycling. Just my 2 cents for ya.

Your doing a great job by the way. Keep it up and post some pics if you get a chance.

WHen you takes pics make sure the flash is off, or at least coer the flash. Haveing the takn lit from above and turning off other lights in the room can also help.

You'll need to safe your pics to a website (like photo bucket) and then put the link on your posts.
